Yellowstone is proud to be supporting Keira and her charity fund raising adventure to Mount Kilimanjaro!
In her own words:
I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in September in aid of Meningitis Research Foundation. My trip is from the 1st to 9th September 2019, with 6 of those days being the actual climb. I am doing the Machame Route and will be climbing to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro which is 5895m above sea level and the world’s tallest freestanding mountain. My climb is in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation; a charity which aims to research and create awareness of two serious diseases, Meningitis and Septicaemia.
For me to be able to go on this trip, I have to raise £3380 for MRF. The money I raise goes towards the work of the charity; researching, preventing and raising awareness for these two major diseases. 1 in 4 students carry the Meningitis-causing bacteria which is why, as a student myself, I feel that it is very important to make people aware of the significant impact that this disease can have on lives.
Good luck Keira from everyone at Yellowstone!
