Back in April of 2019 Yellowstone’s Plant Supervisor and Operator (Shaun Frisby) enrolled on a charity bike ride with nine others to help raise money for a local Macmillan Cancer Charity who cared for his good friend Andy Hanlon in his final resting days at the Christchurch Hospice.
Andy was only 54 when he sadly passed away with a double brain tumour. Shaun decided then to challenge himself by riding a BMX for up to 30 miles day, bearing in mind most others struggle to do this on a mountain bike! Hard to say the least, single speed, no suspension and no disc brakes.
The weather didn’t help says Shaun; he battled, Sleet, Hale, Rain and Gale force winds but still managed to complete the course in one piece!
He says “I would like to thank Yellowstone Environmental Solutions ltd for their kind donation and support” He raised a total of £5166.38. Well done Shaun!
